  • Good morning George.  Was lovely to log on and read the great news about Bev and her scan results.  Tough cookies obviously run in your family.  Have a good day.

I am off to visit my Mum this morning.  She is not so good these days and rarely speaks but puts up with me bringing her up to date with family news.

    Take care, Jules

  • HI jules. How was your MUM I hope she was well how old is she ? lol george

  • Hi George Mum is 91 and has been in care now for nearly 6 years. Unfortunately she has always suffered with bi polar mental depression and keeping her safe became a priority. Sadly over the last year or so her physical wellbeing deteriorated and she is now mainly confined to her bed. She continues to eat reasonably well and the lovely staff keep her comfy with regular GP visits to keep her pain under good control. She has no wish to continue her life and as I cannot give her release I am of no use. Such a sad situation for her. Take care George. Jules Hope you have a pleasant day and that you and Ria are enjoying your walks. Jules
  • HI thinking of you Jules take care your mum must be one fantasic lady regards george

  • Txhanks George. Mum has sadly struggled with mental illness all her adult life so I have seen many ups and downs.  I visited today but she slept throughout my time there but I know her carers will let her know I have been.

Hope you and  Ria are enjoying your walks; I love being out enjoying the nature around me and still feeding the garden birds regularly too. Small pleasures but really brightens the day.  As it is very warm today I am now 'hiding' inside in the cool but will venture into the garden once there is some shade to enjoy.

Best regards to you and the family, take care.  Jules

  • Hi Jules .Had a mixed day started with a good walk and fed our ponies, crows, and tree rats ?Went to a funeral this afternoon and old mate passed away it was a blessing he had been very poorly for the last 8 years dememtia .In the past he played drums in our local working mens club .good turn out church was full But I did not go to the party afterwards was not to good  tummy off so came home and sat in the garden .The front and back gardens are fantastic full of colour .Sat in the office now watching the games PARA fantastic people .Regards for now take care .lol george

  • Hi George

Hope your tummy has settled down a little and you are feeling more comfortable.  As you say mixed feelings when you have to say goodbye to a mate though a release for him having been suffering for many years with dementia.

Your gardens sound wonderful.  Mine have patches of colour but being mainly set to shrubs mine is more differing shades of green.  Roses and the buddleia are doing very well and enjoyed a very good soaking the other night which was long awaited (I am not a regular waterer so my plants take their chances!!).  Have got up this morning to showers and outlook not much better for a few days.  A sure sign that the school holidays are soon to start. Such a shame.  Still, when my grandchildren and daughter come to stay in mid August we will have plans in place  whichever way the weather turns.  Our local cinema could do well!!

Like you  have been following the PARA games.  Absolutely awesome and very humbling.  Some brilliant results from these athletes.

    Have a pleasant day.  Jules
