  • That's just wonderful George.  Hope the head not too sore this morning but all in a very good cause!  No doubt your recovery today will be a walk with rascal Ria by your side if you have the same weather as I have (beautiful sunshine after a night of rain). Take care and enjoy.  Jules x

  • Hi Flower a busy few weeks a head  specs  then urology then blood iron levels ? but life goes on RIA is my doc .she looks after her dad  two great walks today hope all is well with you and yours  lol george

  • Good morning George,

Good to hear that Ria is providing good exercise for you both - she is a little diamond.  I too managed a walk yesterday and also a bit of time in the garden -lovely to see the shrubs and my Japanese maple 'breaking bud' though getting a little too much watering for my liking!!

I am in the middle of a kitchen installation - floor being laid today and then hopefully new units begin arriving tomorrow  so enjoying watching its transformation.

Hope all your appointments go well and are not too tiring.  Take care.  Jules x

  • Has the kitchen been done yet when finished i will be round for tea LOL george

  • Hi George

Your welcome to a cuppa or maybe a glass of something.  The kitchen is finished and am very pleased with it.  Now have the decorators in. (Have open plan groundfloor so will take a while to be finished completely but am enjoying the transformation).  Unfortunately yesterday (whilst I was at work) the electrcian smelt gas so I am currently without heating/hot water (back to the old days of boiling a kettle haha) as have the service 'capped' until problem located.  At least so far they have ruled out the problem being in the kitchen (phew) but place looks like a building site with floorboard up and today they will continue with their 'gadgets' to sniff out the cause.  Holds things up a bit but safety first.

Hope you are enjoying the sunny weather  even though it is a little chilly here this  morning. Will pop my bodywarmer on for the walk to the station and hoping for good news when I come home later.

If your appointments are coming up hope you get some questions answered regarding those iron levels.

Take care lovely man and best regards to all the family and a pat for Ria.  Jules xx

  • Hi Flower had a great curry night saterday it was our sons birthday do about ten of us there 3 currys

  • Hi George,

Love a good curry myself, yummy.  Bet you and the family all had a great time celebrating your son's birthday.

I am sure you will be glad to get your appointments out of the way and then motor to the site. Sharing the driving makes it easier for you too.  Let's hope you will be able to BBQ by then.

Sleet showers here this afternoon and the ice cream van is just doing the rounds!!  Think I will stick to cottage pie for dinner to help warm me up!

Take care my dear forum buddy.  Jules x

  • HI flower had a funny day in pain but tablets no good had two good walks with the ratbag without her life would be nothing she is my MATE .But I am nearly 83 years old and live life to the full .Take care LOL george

  • Hi George

You are a young at heart 'almost 83' year old and am sad to read that you had a day with pain that your tablets did not help with  Notwithstanding that, you still took Ria the ratbag on two walks - or did she take you? ha ha (companionship is a two way joy ) and would imagine it was pretty cold which certainly gets into the bones brrr.Hope your GP can look at your medication (if you tell him) to see if a change in 'recipe' could bring you some better relief.  Hope today will be easier for you but know you will make the best of it as you have an amazing outlook on life.

With the decoraters in 'plastering' a bit more of my through lounge today, I am escaping for a few hours with my daughter and grandson before going to my gym exercise (and ten week health assessment) so will be kept amused  no doubt.  Take care lovely man and keeping you in my thoughts.  Jules xx
