  • Hi George

Sounds like you had a wonderful time in your favourite place and hope the fish were biting and 'tasty'.

I am now on a 12 day break from work and have a few plans but not going away. It always helps to re-charge the batteries. Hope you and all the family  are keeping ok and wish you a peaceful weekend. Take care.Jules xx

  • Flower you are one fantastic lady please take care this one great place to be when not well  regards george .XXX

  • Bless you George. Its amazing to realise I have now been a part of this helpful community for three years and I still find it a comfort to have somewhere to 'chat' in my continuing journey with life. My children and friends are worth their weight in gold and we are mutually supportive.  If I can offer a little support to others during their difficult times it's not a big ask in the scheme of things as I received so much understanding during dark days.

Hope you are managing okay and that little Ria is keeping her friendly master company. Best wishes to you and your family.  Jules

  • Not a bad day today two good walks with RIA fed the local ponies cost me a fortune in carotts but they are great. Two aps in Oct  at colon and urost but no problems  well I am 82 were did the years go .regards all george xx

  • Hiya George,

So pleased to read you had a good holiday.

Pleased you are still taking Ria for walks or should that be the other way round for I know how much dogs like walkies and often they take us. There is a guy who live near us who owns a collie dog and it makes Mrs B laugh for the dog decides which way to go to the fields. It is always a few feet it front of its owner but stops every now and then to make sure he is following along behind.

I will tell you a story from several years ago when I worked at a timber yard. Two guys used to come and collect sawdust to take to different farms/ stables and one of the guys told me there was this place where they always used to give this horse an apple. One day they didnt have one to give it so his mate gave this horse an onion instead. He told his mate he was a rotten devil but he said allthough this poor horse's eye's were watering he still come back for more. You mentioning feeding the horse carrotts made me remember this.

Take care George and I wish you, Ria and your family a peaceful weekend, Brian.

  • Hi George

Great that Ria still taking you walkies and that the ponies are benefitting from your carrot gifts.  The chillier mornings have seen a rise in my 'feathered friends' breakfast club and I am being kept busy topping up the feeders. Am sure the current warm days are confusing them at this time of year but its lovely to be able to leave the coats indoors and save on heating costs - long may it last.

Am out shopping(plus lunch) with the girls tomorrow so looking forwad to a natter and then going to RHS Malvern Autumn Show on Sunday (coach trip) so maybe pick up some hints and tips for the garden now that the winter/spring planting almost complete.

Sending peaceful thoughts for the coming weekend to you and your family. Jules x
