Still had no results of my biopsy but feel ok just old age (82) soon.regards take care .george xx

  • Hi George

Must be so frustrating waiting around for the results to come through. Maybe  after the Bank Holiday you could give them a 'friendly chase up'.  Do they know you are waiting to go away? Has your daughter Barbara heard anything back yet - I think you mentioned that she was also waiting for a letter.

Am sure family and your best mate Ria are helping to keep your spirits up.  Take care Jules x

So sorry I got your daughter's name wrong - put it down to a senior moment!

It will be lovely for you and her to catch up tomorrow and I bet Reece will bring many smiles - the children keep us going. Enjoy. Regards Jules

Well  some mail did come today but not much help to a very old man ,I have a raised ferritin level of over 1000 and my transferrin sateration is also raised over 80% what does all that mean?.Well in a fact my iron levels are two high but as for why I do not know. Will try to see my GP next week by then  she should have her copy of these notes .But on the good side there is no crohns in there or cancer they will look at my hemochromatosis gene next clinic {october} Hope you are all keeping well and busy in the garden .regards .

  • Oh George, wish I could help with the technical stuff but way above my head too I'm afraid.  Perhaps a call to the lovely nurses on this forum could help explain to save you having to worry/wait till your next appointment.  Perhaps you can take heart from the fact that they did not call you straight back to discuss the 'levels' and its a definite positive that no crohns or cancer found.

Spent some time in the garden over the Bank Holiday weekend and now have a huge bag of compost and some new plants from the garden centre to sort out.  Should have mowed the lawn before the promised rain arrives but its not too long and after work today 'dropped off' in front of the tv so maybe needed the sleep more than I needed exercise.

Will you be able to make your escape to Anglesey still? Hope so.Take care  Jules x

  •     Hi Flower the garden is home to me I love it to bits spend hours out there and we live in a small terrace

but my garden is the best take care  speak soon  .george

  • Hi George

I too love the garden and find it an easy place to 'switch off'.  Even managed to pot up some lavender in the rain the other day (albeit on the back doorstep). Battling with a 100 litre bag of compost would have been a sight to see ha ha (thankfully have old trolley wheels (which step climb) to move it about. Now waiting for current wet and windy conditions to pass so that I can top up containers in the front garden - have planted dahlias in hubby's memory (his favourites) and so far they are around 8ins high. Back garden pic attached.

Take care forum friend and give Ria a pat from me. Jules
