Pill fatigue

Any advice welcome! Does anyone else experience this?

I have completed 5 years on tamoxifen with venafalaxine to help with hot flushes etc and calci d.

I have struggled with the calci- d both chewable and dissolving type, now I find I am struggling with the others too (being moved to 10years) I also find I have avoided doctors and dentists - I kind of know it's all psychological but the pill taking makes me feel nauseous and stressed and so I have been missing lots, always thinking I will start tmw.

Is this a 'me' thing or is it common and what should I do - do doctors recognise this or is it me being a weirdo? But I really do find it difficult to even contemplate taking the medications and I do feel physically sick at the thought - it's not something that was ever a thing pre cancer treatment, or even for the first few years.

Do others feel this way? How do you deal with it?

TIA and love to all

It has to be a common thing. Im heartily fed up with anything to do with health care from the weekly visits to Hospital for blood tests infusions nurse appointments even over phone. Taking painkillers and like you the Adcal for bones. Now dentist visits for another problem. Im being urged to see my GP too to get checked up for a new condition. Its all too much and l might do this once my treatment ends this month or not. Thankfully I dont feel physically sick at the thought of tablet taking. Maybe those reading your post can chip in with their own experiences of this.

  • Thanks Ed, for taking the time. Its a weird quandary, I know I should follow the meds advice but the urge to walk away is so strong. It's physically horrible but feels incredibly selfish when we r in a position to have treatments available,

All the best to you, hope everything positive comes your way x
