PCN for side effect management

Hi I was diagnosed with cervical cancer aged 23. I got the all clear after chemo/radio/brachytherapy and finished my uni course. Today after 13 years of being on HRT and treatment for bladder/bowel side effects I received a PCN letter from NHSBSA with a fine of £100. 

This is not something I need to deal with on top of the bladder/bowel long term idea effects of my treatment alongside working full time ironically in the NHS. 

Despite the side effects I have not had a day off work despite monthly flare ups and deal with them independently as there is nothing else available help apparently according to the gastro consultant. No

I've got I touch with my local MP, Eve Appeal and my GP. But wondered if anyone else had any experience of this? The only medication I request is my normal repeat prescriptions that were started

    I have just looked up guidance about what to do about this online and I have copied this below - I hope that you find this of some help.

    "To respond to an NHSBSA Penalty Charge Notice (PCN), follow these steps:
    • Understand the Notice: A PCN is issued if you incorrectly claim free NHS prescriptions or dental treatment. You must respond by the deadline on your letter to avoid further charges. 
    • Respond Promptly: Act within 28 days of receiving the notice to stop future fines. If you believe you were entitled to free NHS care, gather evidence to support your claim. 
    • Use the Official Portal: You can challenge or pay your PCN through the NHSBSA’s official service. Make sure to have your reference number ready. 
    • Provide Evidence: If necessary, send proof of your entitlement to free NHS care, such as Universal Credit statements or medical certificates. 
    • Contact Support: If you need assistance, you can chat with NHSBSA support online or call their helpline for guidance.
