My BCC

  • Hi I was diagnosed with a BCC about 4-5 years ago, when I can't remember exactly when, I went Dr's  and I told him there was a family history of skin cancer, it was sore because it was right on top my head, i've got quite thick hair so i found it quite hard when i was told it was cancer and I always wore a hat. My dad and both of his brothers all had the same skin cancer, when he removed it he said that he wouldn't send it to the lab as it was just a cyst but I was unsure, unfortunately it grew back I went and saw another doctor he removed it and because of family history he sent it off this i was right I knew it was cancer, it came back positive for BCC and I said I knew, I had the cancer removed and I have a large dent in my head luckily for me it didn't grow back, i'm  more aware about wearing a hat and putting loads of high factor sun scream on, this time it didn't grow back but my head is tender but at least the cancer has gone thank goodness.  I now urge men mainly to wear a hat ou out in the sun some people say sure and I have had people say all well I don't care, there will care once they find a scabby small lump of their haed or face or anywhere else on their body. My saying is ware a hat and sun cream protection is better then cure. I'm now cancer free .( It's better to be safe than sorry.)
