After chemo

Hi i am new here my partner had colon cancer and cancer cells on lymph nodes removed this year and has been having chemo, what happens next?

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat, LaineyP.

I’m sorry to hear that your partner had colon cancer and that cancer cells were found in the lymph nodes earlier this year.

What happens after chemo can vary from person to person. It often depends on how your partner’s treatment has gone and what the doctors have planned next.

Hopefully, other forum members who are going through or have been through something similar will come along soon with more insight. In the meantime, you might find it helpful to have a look at this page on our website with info about living with chemotherapy, as it talks about side effects and ways to cope during and after treatment.

If you’d like to talk things through, our nurses are here Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on 0808 800 4040.

I hope this helps a little.

    Best wishes to you both,

    Renata, Cancer Chat Moderator
