I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with nerve pain since your mastectomy earlier this year.

I'm unsure if it was your GP or a specialist who prescribed the amitriptyline ,but it sounds like it's certainly worth talking with the doctor who prescribed this medication if you're finding that the dose isn't lasting 24 hrs. They will be best placed to discuss any checks or alterations to your medication that might be appropriate. 

I do hope that you can get on top of your pain management soon.
