We do have some information on our website about using hair dye after chemotherapy which you may find useful. Generally, it’s advised to wait at least six months after treatment stops, as the hair can be more fragile than normal.

She might also wish to chat with her hairdresser and asked about alternatives such as vegetable-based or henna dyes, which are gentler on newly regrown hair.

If she hasn’t done that yet, it might be a good idea too to contact her medical team about it as they’ll be able to confirm when it’s safe to proceed and may even suggest patch-testing to check for any sensitivity.
