Neuropathy

Hi, I’m 4 months post chemo (capox) and I’m experiencing some ongoing neuropathy in my hands and feet which is annoying but manageable and a small price to pay for being cancer free, but along with this is a new symptom- my teeth are all super sensitive all of the time. It’s so painful and is giving me headaches from the jaw clenching. Is this an expected after effect or just me? Any tips for managing it?  Thanks

  • I'm sorry to hear about the neuropathy you've been contending with since finishing your chemo 4 months ago Deb-71.

I'm glad to hear it's manageable for the most part, although the new symptom that's appeared sounds quite challenging.

Hopefully some of our members who have experienced this will share their stories and advice with you soon but if you'd like to discuss this further with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very insightful and will do all they can to provide some tips that will make this easier to manage.

Do let your medical team know about this as well if you haven't done so already as they will ultimately be in the best position to advise.

    Kind regards,
