Microneedling

Hi, I have just completed 4 rounds of TC chemo for stage 1 breast cancer and will continue to have 3 weekly Herceptin injections until July 25 along with Letrozole for 5yrs.  I commence 5 days of radiotherapy on the 3rd October.  Chemo has left my skin dry with wrinkles I didn’t have before and I feel I look about 10 yrs older. My question is how soon after chemo and radiotherapy has ended could I have Microneedling.

Thanks

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat, Rbudina.
I’m pleased to read that you’ve completed your chemo, though I’m sorry that you're feeling down about the changes to your skin.
Although I can’t offer specific advice on procedures like microneedling, it’s good to explore all options for feeling more like yourself again, hopefully others who have gone through a similar experience will come along soon to chat with you and share their stories and give advice. That being said, it might be helpful to chat with your medical team about when it might be safe for you to start such treatments as they probably can advise you better than anyone on such matters.
Wishing you all the best as you continue your treatment and for a smooth recovery.
