Any help about this please
Hello laraj,
I am afraid I don't really know much myself about self-referring for MRIs but I would say it is preferable if you can to get specialist medical evaluation that you do need that MRI. If you feel for example that you have not been listened to by your doctor or given a referral for an MRI that you feel you would need, it might be worth seeking a second opinion and discussing your options for scans and further tests that you feel might be beneficial.
Our cancer nurses might know more about this subject and might be able to advise you further on how you would go about self-referring so I would get in touch with them on this free number 0808 800 4040 and explain the context and situation to them. They are very friendly and I am sure they will be able to offer further guidance. Their helpline is currently closed for the Easter weekend but it will reopen on Tuesday morning at 9am. You can call from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (but it is closed this Monday).
Best wishes,

hI laraj, vista-health.co.uk do self referral MRIs and they do them with contrast too, though if you wanted a CT you would need a referral, take care.

Lara not sure where you are but I used Chartell hospital. 01702 478 885
Chart well. And it cost £300
Vista say that but they font: not for a prostate MRI anyway. This will cost you another 50 quid to get a Vist referral.
