I have been taking anastrozole for 10 months now and have my first mammogram check up next week. I have found anastrozole a bit difficult to cope with by way of being very tired, low mood and aching muscles. On contacting my local breast support nurses I felt let down and unsupported by the support the particular nurse on duty offered. She merely informed me that I could stop the treatment. This was not the support I needed or expecting as the tablets are there for a reason to give me a chance that the cancer would not hopefully return. I will persevere and am trying not to get too stressed about the results of my mammogram.
