Can't cope/ has anyone had these symptoms.

Hi, my husband is 8 years post sclc. Right lung n lymph nodes . To cut it short, he's been left with some horrid symptoms and we don't get answers. It's vile. His breathing is atrocious. Quality of life is vile. Main problem is he's getting more n more chest infections. The worst thing I witness is some kind of cramping issue in the lung area on both sides. He says it feels like his lungs stick and won't expand properly. It's horrible to witness as  it takes his breath away. He has  also got osteoporosis and had a fractured spine last year they think because of this. No one seems to listen or offer any check ups or tests and he has been discharged feom oncology and respiratory.  No sleep again tonight or very little. He's only been in bed 10 mins and I had to go running upstairs to try and help.as these pains in his sides. No one should have to keep suffering like this its disgusting.im struggling to cope with all this n trying to work on a hospital ward as well. Sorry its such a long post. Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear about the challenges you and your husband are facing.

It may be a good idea to seek a second opinion from another doctor or specialist if you feel your husband's symptoms aren't being adequately addressed. Additionally, prioritise self-care for both of you.

Hopefully, others who have had similar experiences will come along shortly to offer advice. That being said, if you feel like asking some questions to our team of nurses, they'd be happy to talk things over with you Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on this freephone 0808 800 4040.

Last but not least, please remember you're not alone, there is always someone here if you feel like a chat.

    All the best,
