I finished treatment quite recently-in October , however I still feel like Cancer is at the front of mind all the time, I never have a day where I wake up and it isn’t the first thing I think about, it’s making it soo hard to move forward.

Welcome to Cancer Chat, vic2485.
I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with this post treatment phase, but please know these feelings are completely normal. Cancer can have a significant impact on our lives, and it takes time to process everything and find a new sense of normalcy.
We have many others here who have gone through a similar experience and I hope you'll very soon get to talk with them as chatting with those who can understand what we're going through does seem to help. That being said, if you don't receive any replies to this post (sometimes when we experience lots of traffic posts can get pushed down the line and people might not see yours), have a look on the forum for threads that may resonate with you and jump in the conversation, our members are a very friendly lot and I'm sure they'll be happy to chat with you.
In the meantime, if you feel that speaking to someone with a medical background might help, please know our team of nurses are available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on this freephone 0808 800 4040.
All the best,
Renata, Cancer Chat Moderator
Hi Vic2485, I finished treatment last November and can relate to what you say. We think that the end of treatment means going back to life as it was before and it is such a shock to realise that everything had changed and you can't go back. I'm struggling just like you and, although I can't give you words of wisdom or a solution, I wanted you to know that you're not alone in these feelings x
I had an operation to remove an insulinoma six years ago. It took me about 2 years to settle down again even though the operation was a success. Now I am better than I was before my diagnosis because I am not afraid of treatments and hospitals !
Thank you Matthew, that's a wonderful example of getting something really positive from a difficult situation. I'm so glad you're feeling well and moving forward.
