Letrozole Brands

Hi, I have just joined the forum.  I have read some of your comments on Letrozole and am having the same problems.

I started on them in April after finishing radiotherapy.  Was on Crescent brand at first, which wasn't too bad.  I have got painful joints, but not much else.  The next one was Accord, which were awful, my tummy was in shreds, and really affected my bowels.

Managed to get Crescent again, now I am having the same problem.  Accord seems to be the one the pharmacies seem to have, but I won't have those again.

I am collecting one called Amorox tomorrow, but can't seem to find it listed anywhere.  Has anyone had this brand before?  Fingers crossed the side effects are not too bad. :-(

  • Welcome to the forum Brackers although I'm sorry to hear of the difficulties you're having getting your preferred brand of Letrozole.

    I hope you won't experience too many side effects from the one you picked up yesterday and hopefully you will hear back from some of our members who have experience with Amorox soon.

    Hello Brackers ,that does sound pretty horrible .lets hope you get on better with those .I have been taking the Accord Letrezole since March ,the only side effects I had ,were the achy joints ,but that seems to be easing a bit now .

    I do think that there is an alternative you can take if these don’t agree with you . Keep in touch and good luck xx

    Thank you, Rumpelstiltskin.  I'm really hoping that these are fine for me.  I'm glad you are getting on with the Accord.  I know it's unrealistic to think we will have the same brand for the next 10 years, but it would be nice :-)  Thank you again and I will keep in touch.  Good luck to you too. xx

    Also I had my first year mammogram results today.  All clear, no concerns.  Such a relief. xx

    That’s great new Brackers ,onwards and upwards ! I started my first part of reconstructive surgery and feeling great .

    Will be able to drive again on Monday . Good luck xx
