on month 9 of tamoxifen had barely any side effects ts but last few weeks glides are unreal doc gave me today Clonidine to help with flushes anyone tried these honest opinions thsnk you xx
I'm sorry to hear that you are suffering so badly from hot flushes. I did too, when I was taking Tamoxifen. I am glad to hear that Clonidine has helped in the day time. Give them some more time and they might help at night too. Unfortunately, as Lucie said, they did nothing for me. I was eventually prescribed Venlafaxine, a mild antidepressant, and it did help a little, although it never stopped them.
I was advised to take them at night instead of the morning and to stick to a particular brand of Tamoxifen - this also helped slightly.

Hi there . I was prescribed Citalopram years ago for hot flushes ( previous BC so could not have HRT) Continued with it weaning down to every third day. Now have recurrent BC on Letrazole so here we go again ! I have upped my Citalioram to 10mg alternate days and it does help. I’ve also got 100% linen bedding which helps! Pet cooling mat from B& M keep in fridge then put in my pillowcase . Hope you find some relief! Also have old fashioned Spanish fan & small battery operated one that I keep in my handbag.

oh no covid is so bad I was tired gif a few weeks after it I have had it twice now it really gets you down , hopefully you will pick up really soon xxx
