Anastrazole

Hi everyone.

Ive been on anastrazole 15 months, had so many side effects it is unreal. I have read a lot of people having the same, does anyone else have tinnitus from it?

Anyway spoke with oncologist on Friday who has told me to come off them completly for 6 weeks then start another eostrogen blocker (forgot the name it all gets a bit overwhelming at times doesnt it?). Now im anxious that there will be side effects of coming off them. Any advice/experience?

  • I'm sorry to hear things have been pretty tough for you since you started taking Anastrozole 15 months ago Sue.

    I'm sure some of our members who have experienced tinnitus or possibly some other side effects when coming off this will let you know about their experiences soon, but if you'd like to discuss any of this with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040.     I hope everything goes ok when you stop taking Anastrozole and that the new oestrogen blocker you're moving on to works better for you.
