I've been on Tamoxifen now for 7 months and, like you, was apprehensive how things would go. I particularly worried about blood clots. Everyone's experience will be different I suppose but for me, it's been fine.
I have noticed some insomnia, bit of joint stiffness and hot flushes but it's not too bad at all. It seems to suit me and I hope you have a similar positive experience.
Needing to know what to expect is a 2 edged sword.
You can be scared and you can want an idea of what to expect.
The way I've dealt with side effects of Letrizole is I did not read the leaflet ( not because I was scared) I have documented any new symptoms I have been feeling since I started my medication.

I've been on Tamoxifen since 2016. Some side effects- possibly the worst, most intrusive being brain fog, but nothing so bad I've considered quitting it. Also different brands seem to give different side effects, so you may find one brand suits you more than others. This is my experience, hope yours will be as bearable.
I am on my third night since starting Tamoxifen...
Night sweats, constantly having to go pee, even though I didn't drink anything! Dry mouth and yep, insomnia.... I know that everyone will react differently, and I take comfort from the other posts that the side effects should eventually settle down.
oh no I'm scared stiff can't believe after 3 nights I thought it would be a few months , what brand are you on I have read that brands make such a difference bless your keep in touch I'm starting next week x
