Had all my chemotherapy finished July 6th finished radiotherapy august 16 th. Went to see dentist yesterday got three loose teeth to have out but he say he will not do anything till he has a letter from my oncologist  !    with me going on Zoledronic acid when I have a clean dental assessment  I am thinking of waiting a while for Zoledronic acid treatment till safe to get teeth sorted. Please has any one got same problem.  Thank you

    Yes. My dentist won't touch my teeth without a letter from the consultant. The Zoledronic  acid can cause jaw bone problems and one of my teeth is becoming loose. And it's the hormone therapy that causing the bone loss. I Amon Anastrazole for the last 2 years. I have now had my last Zoledronic treatment but apparently it stays in your system for a long time.....and so it goes on the side effects of cancer

    Thank you  yes the side effects do go on . I am still trying to get in touch with my oncologist for a letter as I am not on any medication and not stared my Zoledronic acid I hope I can get teeth out then have a break and start it later best wishes from lobelia x
