So sorry to hear this 3 years down the line. Did you have pelvic radiotherapy as part of your treatment? If you don't mind me asking what type of cancer did you have? I ask this because I'm aware pelvic radiation can cause after effects with bladder and vowels, sometimes things improve with time, and in other cases the effects can start years later. I myself have a few issues but nothing that I can't tolerate but it might be beneficial to speak to your cancer nurse for some advice. There is no point in suffering in silence... it just makes us miserable. x
Hello catswhiskers and thank you for your reply . It's taken me awhile to acknowledge but only because I had trouble logging in!
last 3 days have been pretty miserable tummy wise. I have spoken to numerous medical staff since my treatment but not a lot can be done for me apparently. They say I have been very unlucky in my treatment as it has gone on so long after wards.
To be blunt my bowel is the biggest problem as no matter how many of these movicol powders I take each day ( which I am sick of swallowing, nothing happens apart from pain and nausea then whenI can ' go ' pain is so bad I sweat and almost faint then vomit I have no strength in my legs and have to try to get to my bed and lie down before I faint. Sometimes it's 3 or 4 days before anything happens for me then it's just awful, I am not able to plan anything or go out anywhere. Miserable existence !
I hope you are having a much better time than me
