Mesothelioma claim - does anyone have experience of this?

My dad aged 87 has had a recent diagnosis of Mesothelioma.
Has anyone any experience of making a claim either via the 2008 gov scheme or a claim via Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme (DMPS), or anyone used one of the many solicitors that seem very interested?

    My dad had mesothelioma at the age of 53. It is a horrible illness and I'm so sorry your dad is going through this. My dad worked in shipyards in Glasgow when he was younger. My dad used Thomson Solisitors in Glasgow. They specialise In asbestos claims. My dad didn't survive to see his claim being won but my mum was given everything he was due. I hope that helps and again so sorry about your dad.
