Travel insurance

My husband has been diagnosed with bone cancer in the last 6 months. As yet we don't know which type. Either smouldering myeloma or MGUS. We are trying to find some travel insurance to go on holiday as he isn't at all unwell. This is proving very difficult. Can anyone recommend a travel insurance to me? Many thanks

    Hi 2368,

A very warm welcome to our forum.

This can be a difficult one. My husband and I both have serious health problems. We have taken out an annual insurance with Stay Sure for a number of years and were then moved on to All Clear.

Hope this helps. Please let us know how you get on.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hi

I have been using insurancewith, I've got stage 4 cancer finished chemotherapy in June. There's a lot of questions to go through but its worth it and the price isn't that expensive.

Hope you both have a great trip

  • Unfortunately Insurancewith have suspended sales at the moment, I am so gutted, they really were the best insurer, as they used very good tailored medical screening system, and gave reasonable prices.
The lady who founded it had cancer, so understood how difficult it was to get cover at an affordable price.  At the moment for our holiday next year we have been quoted £2000 for two weeks cover!

  • I'm having the same difficulty, we're trying to get travel insurance, my husband has had prostate cancer and tonsil cancer and we have been refused cover by more companies than I could ever have imagined!  He's clear now, fit and healthy which we are truly grateful for but can't understand why insurance companies either won't insure us or quote extortionate prices, the cheapest so far is over £1300.  Cancer patients are getting a very raw deal, I'm continuing my search.
