PIP

Hi
I have had a diagnosis of incurable small bowel cancer with a very poor prognosis of living more than 5 years.   I was wondering what levels of PIP benefit people with an incurable diagnosis have been awarded rather than a terminal diagnosis of less than six months to live? Thanks

  • Hello Alsopkj,

I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I thought I'd also share this link from our website on the PIP. You will also find a list of benefits you may be entitled to depending on your circumstances. You might also be interested in reading our financial support page. Full details on the PIP and the eligibility criteria can also be found on the government website on this page.

I hope that you will hear from some of our members who have also been in a similar position of applying for the PIP with an incurable rather than a terminal diagnosis and that they will share their experience with you.

    Best wishes,
