Critical illness claim - husband's diagnosis - NETs stage 4

I'm in the middle of making a critical illness claim after my husbands cancer diagnosis - NETs stage 4. Will the Oncologists/Consultants report purely focus on the cancer diagnosis? I'm worried as he has a history over the last few years of drinking heavily and would worry this could be raised and complicate matters regarding the claim.

Hi Buddy,
Hopefully you'll hear back from others who have been through the critical illness claim process soon but I hope this information we have on our website will help.
It may be worth getting in touch with Macmillan as they have a team of financial advisors you could discuss this with as well.
