Hi everyone - I’m new here. Caring for my mum who recently had an emergency ileostomy for bowel cancer - she had no idea she even had cancer. As well as coming to terms with now having a stoma bag she’s just had her first round of 6 months of chemo & it’s completely floored her. Mum’s having Oxaliplatin & Fluorouracil over 2 days. Immediately after chemo she seemed on good form but now, 5 days after she started it she’s totally wiped out. I don’t normally live with my mum but don’t live far away (luckily) but I’ve had to take time off work & move in with Mum for now. Not sure how I’ll juggle this with a demanding job,  2 children & a (very supportive) hubby. Any tips on how best to manage things would be wonderful.
