Date on death certificate

My husband was taken to A and E on 6 November, and sadly died at 01.40. The doctor saw him before that time. The death certificate states he died on 6 November but should it say 7 November? Does it depend on when the doctor last saw him? I would be grateful for any advise. Thank you.

The doctor who signs the certificate has to sign and date it to say when they last saw the deceased alive but it would be best to get in touch with either the hospital or your local register office to find out more.

I hope this helps and you're able to get this resolved as quickly as possible.
