What a shame that your son has not been able to get insured for critical illness insurance even though he was diagnosed 18 years ago. Lovely news though that he is now 24 and about to set up a home with his girlfriend I bet you are really happy for them!

As it happens, someone else on the forum was asking the same question yesterday on this thread and is in a similar situation to you and I hope that you will both get some helpful advice and suggestions here from our members. We  also have some information on critical illness insurance on this page which I hope will be useful to you.
