Frivolous thoughts about holidays - but how?

Feels ridiculous to be even thinking about this as I still have chemo and radiotherapy to do, but I feel like I need a holiday to look forward to once my treatment is over.

What to do though? I can't book now as I won't get insured (or it'll be silly money), plus I don't know if there'll be any delays to  treatment or how I'll be feeling.

But if I wait until last minute, the flights will be pricey/sold out and the best accommodation may have gone. Or are there decent last minute deals these days?

Would love to hear what you do about this conundrum... TIA

  • Hi Mrsfingers,

I don't think it's ridiculous to be thinking about this, in fact I think it's a great idea as it's always nice to have something to look forward to, especially after going through something as challenging as chemo and radiotherapy.

We have some information about travelling with cancer on our website which I hope will help you to find some affordable travel insurance but I'm sure our members who have found themselves in this predicament will be along soon to share their advice and recommendations with you too.

I hope you're able to figure out what to do so you can get that holiday booked; you deserve it :)

    Kind regards,
