My boyfriend has cancer

Hello everyone. 

I’ve been with my boyfriend for 6months now and he just found out he has cancer, Non-Hodgkin. We are both foreigners with no family here and I would like to know if we can apply to some sort of financial aid, as I’m not sure if I can provide for both of us.

  • Welcome to the forum Cat, although I'm sorry that your boyfriend has just found out he has cancer.

    Macmillan are very good when it comes to money matters and they have some information about this issue on their website just here, but as they have financial advisors you can chat to I would recommend giving them a call to discuss this in further detail.

    Citizens advice may prove rather useful so do get in touch with them about this as well.

    I hope you're able to apply for some financial assistance and I wish you and your boyfriend all the best on this journey.
