Currently undergoing radiotherapy for a brain tumor I've completed my first week of it and my scalp is getting very itchy. Is there anything I can use to relieve it?
I'm sorry to read that your scalp is getting rather itchy since starting radiotherapy for a brain tumour but hopefully the information we have on our website about radiotherapy and your skin and tips to cope with itching will help.
Hopefully some of our members who have had similar experiences will be along soon to offer their advice but if you feel it's getting unbearable do get in touch with your medical team as they will be in the best position to advise on this.

im sorry im so late in replying as you may be sorted now, but ive just joined.
My husband was advised to ask the radiographers for cream and they gave him a couple of tubes of a cooling cream. If possible pop into the hospital and ask the radiologists to give you some, or the next time your in.
