Good morning my son of 25 has just been diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma this week we are waiting on a pet scan result to see what stage he is at they said it could be a stage 2 but they have noticed a lump in his lungs so if the pet scan comes back that this lump is cancerous he will be a stage 4 all this has happened within the 18 days from my son's noticing a lump to getting all his tests done so as you can imagine a rollercoaster few days,he starts his chemotherapy in 2 weeks this is only because we told the consultant yesterday that my son has court next week for custody of his son,my grandson was removed from his mother's care last year under an epo (emergency protection order) and has remained in my son's care ever since all the reports from the legal department and social worker are stating he should remain in my son's care the court case has already been adjourned once , today is Friday and my sons court case starts on Monday do we tell our solicitors as we are worried that this diagnosis will go against him.My grandson has a sibling that currently lives with another carer (not my son's child or my grandchild) and the only other option the court has which is what the mother is fighting for is that the siblings remain together and live with the other grandmother.Does anyone have any advise .xxxx
