Hi, I'm hoping to find out if there are any charitable organisations in the UK, other than Macmillan, that can help with travelling expenses for Cancer patients?
Thank you.

Hi lewis , the DWP is a good place to look they have a payment called pip ,( personal independence payment ) that you may qualify for I'm not 100% but it can't hurt to give them a call google first as they ask for a few bits of info which you have to have on hand for them to be able to process your application. I hope this helps kind regards mark
Much appreciated Mark, I'll look into it.
Best wishes.
Lewis
Hi,
When my hubby was diagnosed his consultant and her 'social care' workers were very helpful in pointing us in the right direction. I do not drive and so we were informed of a 'reduced taxi fare' option should it help in addition to using hospital transport where necessary. DWP certainly a good place to find out if you are eligible to any kind of allowance if you are principal carer. As for charitable organisations we got good advice from Age UK and Citizen's Advice but were not eligible for travelling expenses. Hope you get the response/help you may need. Jules54
I am sure if you call macmillan on the freephone number they have someone who has all the info you want
