Hello, this is an awful situation for you.  I do hope you will take Steph's advice and contact MacMillan Cancer Support to help you sort this out.  Time and again I have read on these pages that MacMillan have sorted ou financial difficulties for carers and cancer sufferers.  Sometime I think just about everyone who applies gets turned down automatically and they wait to see if the applicant is going to appeal before taking a real look at it.  This is hard and sad work for you; do they not realise how much it would cost if it was  necessary to bring in outside trained help to care for your parents.  Instead  you are sacrifing your career and social life and you are suppose to get nothing! Please get the help you need without delay and - but only if you wish - let us know how you get on.
