Hair loss

I'm struggling psychologically with hair loss, as I knew I would.  What's become very evident is that most of the advice out there is about how to cover it up and reassurance that it'll probably only be temporary.  I'm not finding either of these approaches helpful.  There's almost nothing out there that talks about feelings about it.

What is even more striking is that there is absolutely no advice I can see for partners about how to deal with it.  If I could change one thing, it would be that.

  • Hi Banksy,

I'm sorry to hear you're struggling with the psychological impact that hair loss can bring. I would really recommend giving our cancer nurses a call as they will be able to discuss this with you in more detail and give you information and advice on where you can seek emotional support. They are available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on 0808 800 4040, which is free to call from a UK landline.

If you also use the search forum option above you can look for other discussions and chat to other members who have experienced hair loss as well.

    All the best Banksy,
