Loss while copying with financial issues...

Before my husband died he organised his funeral... Well, yes, he was a perfectionist. He had to decide for everything including who would come... He had his sister deal with all the details. And now I have to pay for a 10,000€ funeral fee and some 40,000€ inheritance taxe for my daughter to be able to inherit his apartment. 

I'm missing 30,000€... I don't know what to do... a friend started a fundraise but I don't believe much in it... they told me if I don't find the money they will sell the appartement to the highest bidder...at half the price.

I'm'terrified. What am I suppose to do ???

    We are thinking of you tonight and your little one as well as of everyone who has recently lost a loved one to cancer and for whom Christmas may be a difficult time of year.

    I am so sorry to hear about the financial issues you are having to deal with at the moment. It must be really stressful for you and I hope you will get some good tips from others on our forum who have had to face similar financial difficulties. We have some detailed information on our website on financial support you may be entitled to. You can find out more about this here. It includes a section on government benefits you may qualify for including bereavement benefits and get some help with funeral costs. You can find out more about these here. I hope you get some advice on this - perhaps you could get in touch with your Citizens Advice Bureau who may be able to point you in the right direction.

    Unfortunately for security reasons, we don't allow crowdfunding links to be posted on our forum but perhaps the most effective place for you to post this fundraising link would be via social media - for example through your Facebook account if you have one or you can get your friends to share the link via their Facebook page and what often happens is that friends of friends will then also share it.

    I wish you the very best of luck with it and hope that you can also qualify for some of the financial support and benefits that are currently available.

    I noticed that your account is based in France. I initially thought you were living in the UK so I am sorry for giving you financial advice that would only be relevant for people who are living in the UK.

    Silly me - that probably wasn't very helpful :D

    I have however found some French organizations that will be able to point you in the right direction and I very much hope that they will be able to tell you exactly what kind of benefits or charity grants you may be entitled to. I would suggest you contact them and explain your situation:
