Coping with relatives terminal cancer

Hi I'm new to this site but one of my relatives has been told she has 2 weeks left with kidney cancer and I've been struggling with it a bit as we were close ,just wondering how do you accept it and prepare for the Inevitable when it Comes?

  • i am sorry to hear about your sad news. it is very hard to cope and there are no words that can prepare you. i recently lost my dad to cancer and it was a very difficult time. the only advice i could give is to spend as much time as you can with you relative, they are probably really scared and need you to be strong. i made sure that i told my dad how much he meant to me and made sure i told him everything i wanted to before the cancer got worse. it is very hard to be prepared for when the time comes but in the mean time enjoy the time you have with them xxxxx

  • Hi I'm sorry to hear about your sad loss,it wouldn't be so bad if our loved ones could just slip away with no suffering but a lot of the time it's the opposite and that's so sad to see.I saw her on Sunday as she's in a hospice centre now and it was lovely to see her again but it was also horrible to see how much she'd gone downhill. It's just a matter of time now but we still have the memories of better times to cherish.Cancer is such a selfish disease that needs wiping out!
