holiday to spain

We booked to go to spain with all the family on the 12th June yesterday we got told my husband has stage 3/4 kidney cancer and they want to operate in 4-6weeks. Would you bring the holiday forward or cancel? the consultant said it's not recommend to wait 8weeks. How long from diagnoses to operation have other people experienced?

    I'm no expert but certainly if you have any kind of travel insurance I would cancel the holiday. Hopefully you will get all the money back and you can re-book the holiday later. That way you can have something nice to look forward to after the treatment as opposed to the holiday being spoiled by the prospect of forthcoming treatment.
