Travel insurance problem

Does anyone know a company that covers breast cancer sufferers who only had operation 1year ago. All the ones I've seen say you have to be 3-5years clear?

  • Hi kimw

This comes up quite a lot and there are a few threads here on the subject. Try insurancewith.com, they specialise in insuring people with health problems, you can fill out a form online for an instant quote which you can save for later or buy now. They ask all the relevant questions, answer truthfully. My quote was a fraction of a high street quote. Ive heard good things about MIA too. Happy holidays   Kim

  • Thank you kimchoson I thought I had seen it on here a couple of months ago but couldn't remember the name x I should hopefully have peace of Mind now xxx

  • I'm currently using Allcleartravel.co.uk and used them within two weeks of ending chemo, despite having stage 4 OC. They are expensive though.

Be very aware of what is and isn't covered though. A couple of weeks ago I thought I'd found a good deal but then discovered the cheaper insurance excluded anything cancer-related which seemed pointless as cancer is the only reason I wasn't using bog-standard travel insurance from the holiday booking agent!

    Good luck

    Dave

  • Thank you davek I LL make sure I check what's included x
