I am one year in from Lobular cancer. All well but due to a severe infection, i now have dead breast tissue, I am going for new tissue from back whilst they remove dead tissue from back, will not need to remove whole breast, spoke with surgeon who thinks this is better than taking from tummy. I am confident with all this and have another appt in two weeks when i believe they will do ultrasound. Whenever I read sbout reconstruction it slways mentions masactomy, had anyone been through my option, not loosing whole breast and taking tissue from bsck ?
