I had 4 rounds of chemotherapy last year and lost my hair.
I had a wig which I used throughout my chemo and 4 months afterwards and I was very happy with it.
My advice to you is to find a store that sells wigs and go see them before you start your chemotherapy if possible. This way they can see what your hair looks like and help you out with advise on what type of wig to choose, the colour and length and teach you how to use your wig and clean it. I had good use of a thin hat made of bamboo fibers to wear underneath my wig in order to avoid it from scratching my scalp. I would not try to buy a wig online. When you are in the store, you can feel the different types of hairs, see the different ways they wave the hair into the wig and touch the different linings of the wigs to find out what suits you best.
If you are bold and dare, you can even take the opportunity to change your style/look ;o)
