Hi everyone, not sure if anyone would help but worth a try. My best friend got diagnosed with breast cancer over 2 years ago, which later on came back in a more aggressive form as secondary cancer which eventually spread throughout her body and wiped her out really. She has 3 little boys, aged 3,5 and 11 and she was only 28 when she lost the fight to cancer on 16th Januarty this year. Her family aren't able to fund her funeral as they aren't fanancially able to do so, and there are certain things she would have wanted so they want to do right by her wishes.

Would anyone be able to advise me if any charities or government bodies help with funeral costs. We are aiming to raise 10k. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Firstly I am so sorry for your loss how devastating for you and you friends family.

    My advice would be to call the mcmillan cancer team.You should find the number easily enough on Google. They have lists and number of charities that may be able to help.It's worth a go.I hope you can sort something out and give her the send off she would of wanted.

    We are sorry to hear about the loss of your best friend at such a young age. It is so sad too that she had three little children and my thoughts are with her little ones and her family who are also having to face the financial worries you describe.

    You could always set up a fund raising page, like just giving.

    Don't put such a large amount, as if it doesn't reach its target you may have problems getting the lower amount.
