will this be my last Christmas

My bone cancer has now moved to the liver. Spots found on scan so ultra sound done and this week I've had a liver biopsy.  All seems like its happening very quickly.  Im very excited about Christmas and looking forward to it but wondered if it will be my last.

  • I totally agree with everything that everyone here has said.  I have secondary breast cancer in my liver and I sometimes have thoughts like what you described.  When I renewed my passport, the thought came into my head, "Will this be my last one?".  I quickly shut that one down!  If anything, cancer has taught me to do the things I've always wanted to do (money willing!) and spending time with loved ones as you do become more aware of your mortality.  Sometimes, in life, you shy away from things that you would like to do but you hold back because some less charitable people would laugh at you or be horrible either to your face or behind your back.  As this life is not my rehearsal, I'm now off doing these things!

  • We should all form a club ;-)

Nice to know there are so many of us in similar situations and with similar philosophies.

Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero - YOLO ;-)
