The insurance companies pile it on whenever they can. Try MIA or insurancewith.com the latter will give you a quote online in just a few minutes. I was quoted £700 with high street insurer but just £35 on insurancewith.com for 8 days in france. There was a £250 excess. Answer all the questions truthfully and as Davek points out read the small print to make sure you have the cover you feel comfortable with. Also search the forum there are two threads at least full of info. Make sure you get your holiday though Kim

Sorry you had such an unfortunate experience with xxx some companies deserve to be blacklisted. Check out insurancewith.com or MIA who understand about travel insurance for those with cancer and other serious illness. I've used insurancewith.com twice now with no probs and a good quote.( I am not connected to the company in any way.) There are a couple of threads on this forum which discuss this topic in detail with some good info. Kim
