Hi --I have taken this drug for 2 weeks --then one free week-- I am now on my next 2 weeks of taking the drug.. During the first course I felt extremely nauseated so everything was a no for me! I lived on sips of water and yogurt drinks... Once the drug left my system, my appetite returned. I am now on day 4 of the next treatment and feel the nausea returning-- So I guess once the treatment is complete my appetite will return..Hope your wife is able to enjoy her cuppa again! 

Thanks, she's now added tea back into her drinks list. Not loving yet as she uses to but tolerating it, which she's very happy about as she really missed it. I hope your treatments go well and things for you return to normal a.s.a.p.

I was in capecitabine earlier this year, I was on 2 weeks on 1 week off. I love my tea, but it tasted horrible, I needed to get other tastes in my mouth and ended up drinking hot orange or lemon squash but still started my day with a cuppa. I don't think my taste buds got back to normal till I finished the treatment. There are a few things now I can't stand the thought to eat or drink since I finished my treatment. Hopefully it won't be too long before you enjoy your cup of tea.
