Post mastectomy clothing

Can anyone help me to find easy fitting clothes following my operation?  I went out & bought some lovely comfy bras prior to the op but am so swollen that nothing fits!  Ideally I need zip up camisole/vest type of thing to wear under loose fitting tops but cannot find anything like it, despite trawling the websites.

  • Sorry I can't help really but I also struggled to get bras after my op which was lumpectomy and mammoplasty I got shirt bras from amazon by sloggi? They are very comfy but not sure what would work best for you. Hope you get some good pointers from someone but just to say I know how frustrating it is.

hope you are recovering well from op

  • Thanks so much for the reply Fiona! :-)

  • You are welcome ....but I hope you do get some more helpful ones!

  • Hi, I had a single mastectomy and lymph nodes removed last week, I'm struggling with clothes, I can only put things on that I can either step into and pull up or shirts that I can button up as I can't lift my right arm up to get it into tops!  I'm wearing my normal bra with a softie but it gets a bit uncortable after a while.  I have a christening to go to on Sunday which I'm determined to go to, I managed to find a dress (Michele Keagan from next) which I can step into and I'm looking forward to going, I need things to look forward to as i love socialising.

Sorry I can't provide any links to places but wanted to reply and will keep an eye out to see if anyone else posts to say where you can shop xxx
