Hello Lorrwhitt and welcome to Cancer Chat.
I'm sorry to hear your father is on end of life care for terminal lung cancer. This must be a very difficult time.
I hope this information we have on our website about attendance allowance will help, but if you get in touch with Macmillan or Citizen's Advice they should be able to advise you further.
Hopefully you'll hear back from others who have been in a similar situation soon, but in the meantime we're sending you all our strength and support as you and your family navigate the final stage of your father's journey.
Kind regards,
Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
These are overlapping allowances - you cannot claim both PIP AND AL.
From memory, PIP pays more, so once that has been granted (not guaranteed) he will need to transition.
Your local MacMillan or Citizens Advice will be able to support him.
