Getting a grant for a toilet/bathroom upstairs - husband has stage 4 prostate cancer and the suggestion of getting a commode has devastated him

My husband has metastatic stage 4 prostate cancer. He frequently needs the toilet during the night, and we only have a bathroom down stairs. The suggestion of a commode devastated him. Can you get a grant for a toilet upstairs in these circumstances

Hi Concerned

When my mother in law needed an upstairs toilet she was advised to move her bedroom downstairs which she did. However a grant was made available for a walk in shower as she had little savings. So you may be lucky. Social services got the process started.
