Travel insurance with pre cancerous cells

I’ve been treated for pre cancerous cells in one breast. Had the surgery’s and now just waiting on radiotherapy dates.

I have travel insurance paying monthly with my bank.

I told them about my diagnosis, they quoted for an extra £30 for the year. As well as the continuing monthly fee.
Just wondering if this was about right/good deal?

Or if anyone else with the same diagnosis used someone else for travel insurance?
Thanks x

  • HI Louise_T,

A very warm welcome to our forum.

There are specialist insurance firms that deal with health issues, but they are usually considerably more expensive than the others. An additional £30 for the year seems pretty reasonable to me - I would be interested to hear what others think.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • £30 a year extra is a bargain take it while the offer lasts. I have advanced cancer and was quoted £900+ and a second quote od £1300 for 7 days. So I took the risk and travelled with just my GHIC health card. Worth applying for if you do not already have one
